The Requiem was composed for a small orchestra, choir and four soloists. It is divided in fourteen movements some of them such as the Lacrymosa being among the most popular fragments of the Salzburg’s genius.

1The Argentum Choir was created in 1994 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the building of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Barcelona. In 1995 the choir was consolidated and began to perform regularly with the arrival of Victor Frigola as director. The choir brings together all members of the University community, professors, students and administrative staff, and people from other origins. The Argentum Choir has performed, among others, the Requiem and the "Coronation Mass" by Mozart, the Mass in G Major by Schubert, the "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Credo, and Fauré's Requiem.
Sant Felip Neri is a baroque church placed at the heart of the Gothic quarter in Barcelona. The church was built around 1750, and is one of the few examples of this style in Barcelona. The austere façade bears the scars of the bombing that took place in January 1938 at the height of the Spanish civil war. The church is located in a beautiful little square with a quiet and romantic atmosphere.
